What is Green Globe 21 ?

Is the global Affiliation, Benchmarking and Certification program for sustainable Travel and Tourism.

It is based on the Agenda 21 principles for sustainable development endorsed by 182 Heads of State at the United Nations Rio De Janeiro Earth Summit 1992.

Green Globe was originally developed by the World Travel & Travel Tourism Council(WTTC) in 1993. It was officially launched in 1994 as a membership and commitment-based program.

Green Globes environmental reports demonstrate responsible behavior across the triple bottom line of economic, social and environmental management.
