Villas proudly celebrated its’ 18th Anniversary
on Saturday, 5 April, 2008 at the hotel’s Kharisma
Ballroom.
The event started at 7pm with a speech from the Chairman
of the Anniversary Committee, Mr. Nyoman Wiranata and
this was followed by a speech from Mr. Urs Klee, the
General Manager of Discovery Kartika Plaza.
The
celebration of the anniversary was officially opened
by having all Department Heads entering the ballroom
with the traditional ‘Nasi Tumpeng’, led
by 4 beautiful Balinese dancers, followed by the cutting
of the Nasi Tumpeng by Mr. Urs Klee.
On this memorable evening, there was an announcement
of the employee of the year award, which went to Ms.
Ni Made Dwi Ariadi from Sales & Marketing Department;
there were also several artistic performances by the
hotel’s staff.
Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel has been established for
18 years and now has a total of 318 rooms including
villas. The hotel has also had several recent upgrades
and renovations to its room facilities. With a prime
location on the beachfront of South Kuta, Discovery
Kartika Plaza is still the most important hotel in the
area after almost two decades.
